The holiday dust has settled. I finished removing the Christmas lights from our house this morning, and was taking a last look through all of the great cards and letters many of you sent us, when I decided I would buck up and send out an update of our own.

Honey were home… About 18 months ago we closed the dolphin facility in Dominica, moved with the dolphins to Key Largo, bought a house and ended an 8 year stint of perpetual traveling and living abroad. It is fun to be back in America. It feels like home. When I say we bought a house, to date, we have actually purchased a couple ambitious “fixer-upper” properties and have poured countless hours of work into making them nice. We have had lots of help from friends and family, and although neither is complete at this point, we take pride and solace in what we have accomplished. Our next big project on the drawing board is a log home just west of Boulder, CO.

Work, work, work… Still doing our best to make a living off the things we love. We are still traveling with Zegrahm Expedition once or twice a year; bless them. Our next big trip is this March, Circumnavigation of Papua New Guinea, and then in May, I am Expedition Leader on two trips along the NW Kimberly Coast of Australia. On a daily basis, however, Cynthia is enjoying her life here as a dolphin trainer, and while I do train dolphins occasionally, mostly I am spending my time renovating the houses and starting my own website marketing company. My current two largest clients, and web creations, being Dolphins Plus, the dolphin facility where Cynthia works daily, and OTC Wholesale, a supplier of over-the-counter drugstore items at extreme discounts.

All in the family… Everybody in both our families are doing great. Cynthia’s 96-year-old grandfather, Coleman, and my 89-year-old grandmother, Millie, are showing no signs of slowing. Cynthia’s sister Laena has joined the rest of the family in the Bay Area. Cynthia’s oldest sister, Hailey, married a great guy, Andy, and is busy recovering from a very successful back surgery. Cynthia’s mother, Arlene, is looking to retire in the next eighteen months and is ready for somebody in the family to have some grandkids already. My father, Art, and his wife, Nancy, are busily remodeling their mountain home in Colorado. While my mother, Bonnie, just spent her 25th year living in Tortola and is running her Pub and Restaurant on the water’s edge.

Dear Friends… With this letter I hope I am reaching out to all of you. We have met so many extraordinary people over the years and have been touched so deeply. I can assure you that we think of you far more than you realize. Though we may not be in touch frequently, our friendship and love for you remains strong. Here in Key Largo, working for a dolphin facility, we have a built in social life with active young dolphin loving people. That, combined with visits from many of our friends and family coming to see the dolphins, I mean us, we have had a full social calendar.

Well that’s probably plenty about us. In case you skipped to the end, “all’s good with us, we hope the same for you and we send our love and best wishes for 2005”.

Love always,
Jeff & Cynthia
