- wet face and apply a small amount
- gently massage over entire face, avoiding eye area
- rinse thoroughly and pat dry
- follow with application of Step 2
- if bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce frequency of application
Step 3 Directions: - use morning and night
- cleanse the skin thoroughly with Steps 1 and 2 before applying medication
- cover the entire affected area with a thin layer
- because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two times daily, if needed or as directed by a doctor
- if bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day
- if going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow product to dry, then follow direction in the sunscreen labeling. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of both products and consult a doctor.

When using this product using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin.
